Clematis 'Omoshiro' (Clematis 'Omoshiro')

Spread: 6-8 feet
Light: Full to part sun with roots shaded.
Description: A simply stunning clematis. Seven-inch flowers are pink-gray on top with deeper rose margins and reverses. Petals are slightly cupped. The center is a rich, velvety plum. It doesn’t get much more elegant than this. Flowers are lightly fragrant. Show off the refined colors of ‘Omoshiro’ by letting it twine through a bluish/silvery conifer, a Hydrangea paniculata, or a sweetbay magnolia.

Pruning group 2: Blooms on old and new wood; pruning generally not necessary, but if needed for shaping, prune new growth as it emerges from old stems in early spring.
