Clematis 'Liberation' (Clematis 'Liberation')

Light: Full to part sun with roots shaded.
Description: Enormous 9-inch flowers appear in late spring with an encore in late summer. Rich pink petals are marked with an even darker band of rose around a creamy yellow center. Let it grow through a bluish conifer, a large viburnum or hydrangea, or a yellow rose. ‘Liberation’ was named in honor of the anniversary of the liberation of the Channel Islands in World War II.

Pruning group 2: Blooms on old and new wood; pruning generally not necessary, but if needed for shaping, prune new growth as it emerges from old stems in early spring.
