Ficus carica 'Italian White' (Italian White Fig)

Height: 12 feet
Spread: 12 feet
Light: Full sun to part shade. Best fruit production in more sun.
Soil: Amended, moist but well drained soil. Drought tolerant once established.
Description: Deciduous small tree with a open, spreading habit. Large, dark green, deeply lobed foliage is rough and fragrant. Late summer brings bountiful crops of honey flavored white fruit with pink flesh that can be eaten fresh from the tree or candied for desserts. These plants were grown from cuttings shared with G*H owner Scott McMahan by a local fig collector. Grows 12’ tall and wide. Can be espaliered or pruned to smaller size.
