Chamaecyparis obtusa 'Crippsii' (Golden Hinoki Cypress)

Height: 8-10 feet
Spread: 3-4 feet
Light: Full to part sun.
Soil: Amended, moist but well-drained soil. Does not like to dry out during its first year or two in the ground.
Description: Evergreen tree with an upright pyramidal, slightly open habit and dark tan bark. Medium green fern-like foliage emerges gold and keeps its color well year round. Specimen suitable for screening or foundation plantings. Pairs especially well with large, dark evergreens like Magnolia ‘Little Gem’ and Viburnum ‘Chindo’.
