Acer palmatum 'Bihou' (Japanese Maple)

Height: 10-12 feet
Spread: 6-8 feet
Light: Bright morning sun and light shade in the afternoon.
Description: A NEW, outstanding selection of Japanese maple. You have to see this tree to believe it! Bark and leaves are a fresh spring green during the growing season, but as soon as the weather cools off in the fall, the real show begins. The tree's stems turn bright yellow in October and November, then flush to apricot and finally end a vibrant red by mid-winter. Maintains an upright vase shape.

Utilize against a backdrop of deep green conifers or a dark fence or wall to show off the spectacular winter bark. Site in bright morning sun and high, filtered sun/light shade in the afternoon.
