Chamaecyparis thyoides 'Red Star' (Red Star White Cedar)

Height: 15-25 feet
Spread: 7-12 feet
Light: Full sun to part shade.
Soil: Amended, well drained soil and average water needs. Does not like to dry out.
Description: Evergreen, blue-green cedar that maintains its juvenile foliage through adulthood. Turns a brilliant plum (!) color in fall. In northern states, may splay under heavy snow but that’s not a problem here in the deep South. Slow growth (about 6” a year) makes this a great container plant for many years.
