Vaccinium ashei 'Alapaha' (Alapaha Rabbiteye Blueberry)

Height: 4-6 feet
Spread: 3-5 feet
Light: Full to part sun
Soil: Amended, moist but well-drained soil.
Description: Deciduous shrub with an upright, narrow habit. Pink-white flowers in mid-spring (after the danger of late frost is over) give way to medium, firm, flavorful fruit in late spring. Scarring is minimal and dry, which promotes shelf life. Suitable for fresh eating, desserts and preserves. Cross-pollinate with another early or mid-season variety such as ‘Premier’, ‘Climax’, or ‘Brightwell’.

Cross-pollination is necessary for fruit set and gives you bigger berries!
