Rubus idaeus 'Dorman Red' (Dorman Red Raspberry)

Spread: 8-10 feet
Light: Full sun
Soil: Amended, moist but well-drained soil. Drought tolerant once established.
Description: Deciduous, trailing vine with serrated, slightly quilted, green leaves. White flowers in early spring give way to large, bright red, flavorful fruit in early summer. Suitable for fresh eating, desserts and preserves. Heavy production and small size is great for smaller, urban gardens. This is one of the few varieties of raspberry that is heat-tolerant enough to be grown in the South.
