Thujopsis dolabrata 'Aurea' (Golden Elkhorn Cedar)

Height: 5-6 feet (slow growing)
Spread: 3-4 feet
Light: Part shade. Needs protection from afternoon sun here in the South.
Soil: Amended, moist but well-drained soil. Does not like to dry out.
Description: Evergreen conifer with golden juvenile growth that contrasts dramatically with the darker green mature foliage. Undersides of leaves are silver. Loosely pyramidal in form. Use as a specimen in the woodland garden. Pairs well with shiny, large-leaf shrubs like acuba, fatsia, and rhododendrons. Reaches maturity in ten years.
