Thuja orientalis 'Van Hoey Smith' (Van Hoey Smith Oriental Arborvitae)

Height: 10-12 feet
Spread: 5-6 feet
Light: Full sun to part shade but best color in more sun.
Soil: Amended, moist but well-drained soil. Drought tolerant once established.
Description: Evergreen tree with a upright, pyramidal habit. Golden, fernlike foliage is speckled with green and white and may be the closest thing you’ll ever see to a tricolor conifer! Great for screening when planted in mass. Pairs well with large, glossy foliage and red Japanese maples. Grows about 6-12 inches per year but takes a few years to develop a dense habit. Stem cutting are great in holiday wreaths and centerpieces.
