Rubus spp. (Ouachita Thornless Blackberry)

Height: 4-6 feet
Spread: 3-5 feet
Light: Full sun
Soil: Amended, well-drained soil.
Description: Ouachita Thornless Blackberry (Pronounced “Watch-it-taw.”) Deciduous, self-pollinating shrub featuring erect canes that provide a good, upright form. Highly disease resistant. Expect high yields (4-6 quarts) of large, extra-sweet berries for five weeks in early summer. Ripens early. Once a cane has fruited, it will die and a new one will take its place. Prune out dead canes yearly.
