Light: Morning sun and afternoon shade is best. Needs protection from afternoon sun in summer.
Soil: Amended, moist but well-drained soil and average water needs once established.
Description: This Girard introduction evergreen azalea is a true showstopper. Small, shiny green leaves take on copper and maroon tones after the first frost and last through winter. Brilliant rose to crimson flowers of medium size completely cover the shrub for about four weeks in spring. This is a great addition to the mixed border because of its eye-catching foliage in winter.
