Light: Part sun to part shade. More direct morning sun promotes a denser habit. Still needs protection from afternoon sun in summer.
Soil: Amended, moist but well-drained soil and average water needs once established.
Description: An evergreen, heat-tolerant rhodie that actually thrives in the Deep South! Large, dark green, elliptical leaves provide a dramatic presence all year long. Parentage is R. 'Catalgla' and R. 'Sappho'. Dramatic formal white flowers with a purple flare on the upper lobe appear in early spring. Deadhead to promote vigor. Equally at home in the cottage, woodland ,or Japanese garden.
