Philadelphus x ‘Polar Star’ (Mock orange)

Light: Full sun to part shade.
Soil: Amended, moist, well-drained soil during its first year in the ground. Tolerates a wide range of soil conditions.
Description: Introduced by Roy Klehm, ‘Polar Star’ was a change seedling found in the garden of Hubert Fischer. A fast-growing, large rounded shrub with ascending to arching branches. Leaves are dark green with heavy quilting. Deciduous. Superbly fragrant semi-double white flowers cover the plant in early to mid-spring, right about the time the peonies are blooming. Flowers again in fall.
