Light: Sun to shade. Denser habit in more sun.
Soil: Amended, moist but well-drained soil.
Description: Evergreen tree with a rounded, pyramidal, dense habit. Large, glossy, leathery leaves are delicately serrated. Small yellow, fragrant flowers in spring give way to bright red berries in fall and winter. Stems cutting are beautiful in holiday wreaths and centerpieces. Great for screening or companion planting with conifers and Japanese maples. Prune in winter to maintain size as needed. Drought tolerant, deer resistant, and very low maintenance – this plant does it all!
