Soil: Amended, moist but well-drained soil. Benefits from supplementary watering in summer.
Description: Deciduous NATIVE shrub with large, dark, serrated leaves with a slightly open habit. Showy but elegant white flower clusters up to 8” wide cover this plant in midsummer and persist into early fall aging to shades of pink, brown, and green. Plant in mass for the most spectacular display. Prune to 6” every three years in winter.
