Description: Emerald Lace Smooth Hydrangea, also known as ‘Riven Lace,’ is a deciduous shrub with elegant, deeply lobed, forest green foliage that holds it color all summer long. Habit is open and airy in this wild-collected specimen. White, delicately subtle lacecap flowers persist for a long period in summer. The perfect backbone for a rustic, wild garden. Pairs well with Fothergilla ‘Blue Shadow’, Stachyurus and Osmanthus heterophyllus. Blooms on new wood so prune in winter. Hardly ever offered in the retail trade.
