Fatshedera lizei (Tree Ivy)

Height: 3-5 feet
Spread: 3-5 feet
Light: Part shade to shade
Soil: Amended, evenly moist but well-drained soil. Drought tolerant once established. Do not overwater!
Description: Evergreen vine or shrub with glossy, green, palmate leaves. Habit is irregular but can be trained up a wall if held in place. Inter-generic hybrid between Fatsia japonica and Hedera helix (English Ivy). The plant combines the shrubby shape of Fatsia with the five-lobed leaves of Hedera. Yellow-white flowers in upright umbels top the plant in winter and give way to black, sterile fruit in spring. Great in containers or when allowed to ramble through a shrub or garden bed.
