Light: Part sun to part shade. Best in morning sun and afternoon shade.
Soil: Amended, moist but well-drained soil. Appreciates mulching in winter.
Description: Its name translates to “Boastful Flower.” Originated in Japan in 1905. A seedling of C.‘Eikyu-shibori,’ Evergreen shrub with a dense, upright habit and dark green, glossy foliage. Semi-double, white flowers edged in a strong rose blush cover the shrub in fall and persist into early winter. Specimen suitable for screening or formal spaces. Can be limbed up to form a small tree.
Prune after flowering as needed to maintain shape.
