Description: Originated from a seedling in Magnolia Gardens in Charleston, SC in the early 1900s. Evergreen shrub with an upright, dense habit and large, dark green, foliage. Fragrant, double, shell pink flowers cover the plant in late winter into spring. Suitable for screening or as an evergreen backdrop for deciduous, winter blooming plants like Corylopsis, Edgeworthia, or Stachyurus.
