Buxus harlandii 'Richard' (Richard'sHarland Boxwood)

Height: 3-5 feet
Spread: 4 feet
Light: Full sun to part shade.
Soil: Amended, well-drained soil. Drought tolerant once established.
Description: Evergreen shrub with a compact, vase-shaped habit. Round, deep green, leathery leaves are significantly larger than the species and have a slight notch at the tip. Small, inconspicuous flowers in spring. This rarely-offered shrub works well as a foundation plant or container specimen. Hand prune - don't shear like you would smaller-leafed boxwoods. Plant on 2-foot centers for hedges.
