Sempervivum 'Burgundy' (Burgundy Hens and Chicks)

Height: 2 inches
Spread: 12 inches
Light: Best in sun to part sun
Soil: Average, well-drained soil. Keep on the dry side.
Description: Evergreen succulent leaves are a deep burgundy with jade tips. Thick-stemmed, star-like flowers rise out of the central rosette. Once the mother rosette blooms, it will die but be quickly replaced by the “chicks” of the mother plant. Semper = forever, Vivo = live, that’s why Grandma called these plants “live-forevers.” The quintessential rock garden plant – great in strawberry jars, shallow containers or dry spots in the garden!
