Eucomis autumnalis (Autumn Pineapple Lily)

Height: 1 foot
Spread: 2 feet
Light: Full to part sun
Soil: Amended, moist but well-drained soil. Likes to be dry in winter.
Description: A MUST for the cutting garden! Herbaceous, bulbuous perennial that forms a strong clump of green, strappy foliage. Sturdy stalks of cream-white flowers top each rosette like a pineapple in mid-summer. The flowers hold up well through the fall as they mature on the plant. They also last FOREVER in a vase.Looks great massed or as a tropical addition to the perennial beds (near, say, hibiscus, palms, and colocasia).
