Echinops bannaticus 'Blue Glow' (Blue Globe Thistle)

Height: 2 feet (in bloom)
Spread: 4 feet
Light: Full sun
Soil: Lean, well-drained soil.
Description: Herbaceous perennial that forms a mounding clump of deeply dissected, spiny blue-green leaves with silver undersides. Bright grey-blue, globe-shaped flowers on strong, erect stalks top the plant in late summer. A great addition to the cottage and cut-flower garden. May naturalize by seed. Forms a tap root, so plant it ONCE in its forever home and don’t move it. Drought tolerant once established. Does not like rich soils!
