Cyrtomium fortunei (Japanese Holly Fern)

Light: Part shade to shade.
Soil: Moist, organically rich soil with good drainage. Does not like wet feet in winter.
Description: Medium green, leathery, upright fronds resemble holly leaves. Evergreen. Use in the mixed shade bed as a foil to softer colored heucheras and variegated grasses. Plant beneath dwarf oakleaf hydrangeas for a spectacular fall color contrast.
