Chrysogonum virginianum ‘Pierre’ (Green & Gold)

Light: Part shade to shade.
Soil: Amended, moist but well-drained soil. Drought tolerant once established.
Description: Semi-evergreen, native perennial that forms a low-growing mound of fuzzy, dark green, rounded leaves. Golden, star-shaped flowers cover the mound in mid to late spring. Blooms longer and is lower growing than the species. Works in almost any situation in the shade garden and should be planted as widely as possible for best impact. Looks great with blue Hosta or Carex.
