Aster oblongifolius ‘October Skies’ (Aromatic aster)

Height: 18-24 inches
Spread: 18-24 inches
Light: Full to part sun
Soil: Average to dry soil. Very drought tolerant and low-maintenance once established. Tolerates poor soils.
Description: A shorter, bushier, more compact version of the well-known ‘Raydon’s Favorite’ aster. Narrow, oval foliage makes a low-mounded clump, adding nice texture to the mixed border. Lavender-blue flowers with cheerful yellow centers cover the plants in late summer/early fall. Plant with goldenrod or salvia for a one-two punch of outstanding fall flowers! Butterfly and honeybee magnet.
