Miscanthus sinensis 'Adagio' (Dwarf Maiden Grass)

Height: 3-4 feet
Spread: 3-4 feet
Light: Full sun to part shade
Soil: Average, well-drained soil.
Description: 'Adagio' is a dwarf eulalia grass cultivar which is one of the shortest of the Miscanthus cultivars available. It is an upright, clump-forming ornamental grass which features narrow, silver-gray blades which turn yellow in fall. Tiny pink-tinged flowers appear in tassel-like inflorescences above the foliage in late summer, gradually turning into creamy white plumes by fall as the seeds mature. Foliage and flower plumes persist well into winter. Foliage should be left standing through winter to protect the crown. Cut foliage to the ground in late winter just before new shoots appear.
