Actinidia arguta ‘Ken's Red’ (Ken's Red Female Kiwi)

Spread: 15-20 feet
Light: Full sun to part shade. More fruit in more sun.
Soil: Amended, moist but well-drained soil. Fertilize lightly in spring – does not like heavy, overly rich soils.
Description: Deciduous, twining female kiwi vine with green, glossy leaves. Fragrant white flowers in early summer give way to smooth green fruit that turns red when ripe in mid-fall. Red flesh is very sweet and mild. This is a female plant that needs a pollinator like ‘Hardy Male’ in order to set fruit.
