Actinidia arguta ‘Issai' (Issai Dwarf Kiwi)

Spread: 15 to 20 feet
Light: Full sun to part shade. More fruit in more sun.
Soil: Amended, moist but well-drained soil. Fertilize lightly in spring – does not like heavy, overly rich soils.
Description: Deciduous, twining kiwi vine with green, glossy leaves. Fragrant, white flowers in early summer give way to smooth, green, dwarf fruit in mid-fall. Flavor is sweeter and more succulent than the fuzzy kiwis found at stores. Fruit is ripe when slightly soft. Self-fertile, but pair with ‘Hardy Male’ for best fruit set.
