Description: Upright, dense shrub or small tree with dark, evergreen, glossy leaves. Peony-like scarlet flowers bloom in late-winter through mid-spring. Makes a great tall hedge or espalier through fencing for privacy. Limb up to make a small tree. Prune after flowering to control size.
